Group Accommodation

Perhaps you are considering a re-union or a family gathering, but are finding that accommodation costs start to spiral when you look into booking multiple hotel room or cottages to rents. If this is the case, then how about group accommodation such as bunk houses or camping barns which can cost from around £8 per person per night. This article looks at what to expect from bunkhouses and camping barns.

Bunk houses and Camping Barns

Bunkhouses and camping barns are a handy way of keeping down accommodation costs, allowing you to get away and stay in great locations. They are particularly handy for larger groups such as large family gatherings, groups of friends and adventure groups.

The accommodation is usually fairly basic - think hostel rather than hotel.  Facilities vary greatly so do check, but are likely to include shared sleeping areas / rooms, toilets, showers, kitchen and dining areas. Prices are kept down further by asking guests to bring their own bedding. They are also a great option for walkers who may not be in a big group, but are happy to share accommodation.
